IDW Publishing’s Eight Page Doctor Who Preview

Happy Monday, everyone! No sooner than I post IDW Publishing’s February solicitations then they turn around and give us an eight-page preview for the issue, which goes on sale Wednesday, February 3. Even though I posted the synopsis in the last post, I’ll repeat it here for those people who feel it might be too much work to click back:

Doctor Who #8 will arrive in stores on Feb. 3 from IDW Publishing. The issue is written by Tony Lee, with art by Al Davison and covers by Paul Grist and Davison.

‘Tessaract,’ part 2 of 2. With the TARDIS breached by invaders and with only moments before both vessels implode, The Doctor and his friends must find a working console and escape the fifth dimension. IDW Publishing’s February Doctor Who Solicitations

Fans of David Tennant still mourning his regeneration into Matthew Smith at the conclusion of “The End of Time” should enjoy IDW Publishing’s line of Doctor Who comics, where the 10th Doctor’s adventures continue.

In the conclusion of the “Fugitive” story arc, the cards have been dealt, and Mister Finch and the Krillitane Empire hold the winning hand. Can the Doctor and his unlikely allies still save the universe as we know it? And why are the Judoon spraying white stripes on their armor?

IDW Publishing’s January Doctor Who Comic Preview

In January, Matthew Smith takes over the lead role on Doctor Who, leaving fans of David Tennant broken, empty shells. To these fans, I say fear not; thanks to IDW Publishing, David Tennant lives on, at least in comic form, with the release in January of Doctor Who #7. Here is how IDW Publishing describes the issue:

New comics arrive Wednesday and IDW Publishing has released an eight-page preview for Doctor Who #5. In Part 3 of the four-part ‘Fugitive’ story arc, the Doctor has been trapped on an alien world with his old enemies now his allies — and his old allies now trying to kill him! He has only one chance to save his life… and possibly an entire galaxy! Doctor Who: “Fugitive” is written by Tony Lee, with art by Matthew Dow Smith and covers by Paul Grist and Smith.

IDW Doctor Who Comics Coming in July

A few weeks ago I lamented that with “The Waters of Mars” not being broadcast until November, it was going to be a long, dry summer without Doctor Who. Just when I had given up hope, the good folks at IDW have come to the rescue, releasing their publishing schedule for July and it contains not one, not two, but three Doctor Who titles! It’s beginning to look like a really cool summer!

Here’s the rundown on the Doctor Who titles IDW is releasing in July, including page count and cover price:
