IDW Publishing’s Doctor Who Solicitations for March

March is almost upon us, which means that we will soon be seeing Matt Smith debut as the Doctor. David Tennant fans have something to look forward to as well because we will also be treated to IDW Publishing’s newest Doctor Who comics, with two new issues and two collections hitting the shelves next month. IDW Publishing has released information on their Doctor Who titles available in August.

DOCTOR WHO #2

In the conclusion of the two-part “Silver Scream,” the Doctor clashes with aliens orchestrating a dastardly plot in 1920s Hollywood. But his actions have repercussions that could be felt throughout all time!

DOCTOR WHO: COLD-BLOODED WAR

Written by Gary Russell, art by Adrian Salmon, covers by Salmon and photo.

In this standalone tale, the Doctor and Donna attempt to broker a peace plan between two very hierarchical and pompous alien races, the Draconians and Ice Warriors. But their best efforts are derailed by someone who stands to gain from the continued conflict.

IDW Doctor Who Classic Series Released Today

IDW has released preview images for its Doctor Who: Classic Series 2 #8, continuing the adventures of the 5th Doctor. The Doctor, vacationing in Stockbridge, uncovers a mystery involving a quarry and his TARDIS. This issue covers the first three chapters of “The Stockbridge Horror” written and illustrated by Steve Parkhouse, with inks by Paul Neary and new colors by Charlie Kirchoff.



















IDW Doctor Who Comics Coming in July

A few weeks ago I lamented that with “The Waters of Mars” not being broadcast until November, it was going to be a long, dry summer without Doctor Who. Just when I had given up hope, the good folks at IDW have come to the rescue, releasing their publishing schedule for July and it contains not one, not two, but three Doctor Who titles! It’s beginning to look like a really cool summer!

Here’s the rundown on the Doctor Who titles IDW is releasing in July, including page count and cover price:
